November 11th’s Movers and Shakers
The cannabis industry continues to boom, despite the ongoing global pandemic. Sales are strong, new products continue to be launched, and public opinion of cannabis law reform is better than ever before. Who in the space is moving and shaking this week? Here are some highlights from The Hive:
Roger Volodarsky, Founder of Puffco – Considered a pioneer in the vaporizer game, Volodarksy is riding cloud nine. The new Puffco Peak Pro is one of the hottest devices on the market and a recent profile in Forbes gave the company even more mainstream exposure. The company is said to be working on something big, but with the epic drop of the Peak Pro, it’s hard to imagine what could be bigger than that.
Rosie Mattio, Founder of Mattio Communications – Working with some of the biggest brands in plant medicine, Mattio is at the top of her game. The PR whiz has seen a lot of success for her high-profile clients as of late, with features in mainstream outlets such as Vanity Fair, CNBC, and Business Insider. Mattio is getting cannabis and psychadelics front and center in the public eye, something the team at The Hive loves to see.
Doggface208 – Okay, so he isn’t officially in the cannabis industry, but viral TikTok megastar Doggface208 (aka Nathan Apodaca) is catapulting the plant into popular culture like no one else at the moment. After becoming a superstar for his video featuring the Fleetwood Mac number “Dreams,” the skateboarding, cranberry juice drinking, steady vibin’ potato factory worker father from Idaho has exploded onto the scene reaching his millions of “420 soldiers” every day on his wildly popular social media accounts. Since going viral, the dad who is “dabbing on the daily” has done advertisements with cannabis culture superstars Snoop Dogg and the Trailer Park Boys.
