Tyson 2.0 Teams Up with Reborn Roots for a Heavyweight Touchdown in Rhode Island

LOS ANGELES – Celebrity Cannabis brands have tested markets from the Pacific Northwest to the Caribbean and one of the sector’s most recognized names is now pushing into New England. Tyson 2.0 Inc. announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Reborn Roots LLC, bringing the brand’s full product lineup to Rhode Island dispensaries for both adult-use consumers and medical patients. The announcement marks another U.S. state added to a portfolio that, since the company’s 2021 founding, now spans 16 countries across multiple consumer product categories.

Reborn Roots, led by founder Brent Vanzile, is a vertically integrated cultivator holding a Class B hybrid cultivator license approved by the Rhode Island Cannabis Control Commission in July 2025. The company handles its entire production chain in-house (cultivation, extraction, and manufacturing) at a Warwick facility, with output spanning small-batch flower, live rosin vapes, and edibles. Vanzile came out of Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center, one of the state’s earliest licensed dispensaries, where he served as director of cultivation before the entity was placed into receivership.

This is not new territory for the two companies. Vanzile’s team worked alongside Tyson 2.0 previously in Mississippi, giving the Rhode Island launch a tested operational foundation rather than a blank slate.

“Having worked with the Tyson 2.0 brand in Mississippi, I’ve seen firsthand what this partnership can do for a market,” Vanzile said in the announcement. “This is home turf for Reborn Roots, and we’re ready to show the Ocean State what Tyson 2.0 can do.”

Mike Tyson placed the expansion in personal terms:

“This brand is a reflection of my personal journey with cannabis, and partnering with Reborn Roots allows us to ensure every consumer and patient gets the quality and intensity they deserve.”

Across four licensed dispensaries the initial product slate includes premium flower, infused pre-rolls and blunts, the brand’s ear-shaped Mike Bites rosin gummies, and full-spectrum vape cartridges and disposables.

Rhode Island legalized adult-use cannabis in 2022 and has since maintained a measured licensing approach. The state’s tight regulatory environment has made established local cultivators valuable partners for brands seeking market access without building production capacity from scratch.

Tyson 2.0’s expansion model is built on that logic. The brand brings consumer recognition and product formulations; local licensed operators supply production infrastructure and distribution reach. Previous U.S. market entries, including Washington State, have followed the same framework.

The deal reflects straightforward brand-scaling arithmetic in a regulated market. Reborn Roots contributes licensed production capacity and Rhode Island market knowledge; Tyson 2.0 brings shelf recognition and a ready consumer base. The structural fit is solid, sustaining shelf velocity once the launch cycle settles will be the real performance test in a competitive Northeast market.
