The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) alleges Carbajal “doxxed” an ICE public affairs officer by publicly displaying the agent’s business card to protesters, leading to injuries when the agent was reportedly struck by a thrown rock and required stitches.

DHS further accuses Carbajal of inciting a “mob of rioters” who assaulted law enforcement personnel during the operation, which resulted in 361 arrests, the rescue of 14 migrant minors, and one fatality due to a fall at the Camarillo site.

In response, Carbajal has dismissed the allegations as misleading. He stated that he entered the Carpinteria site to assert congressional oversight and was denied entry. He observed ICE agents deploying tear gas, smoke canisters, rubber bullets, and stun grenades against workers and peaceful demonstrators, including children. Carbajal maintained that the agent voluntarily handed him his card in full view of cameras and counters that he “doxxed” the officer. He also referred to the DHS narrative as a “blatant attempt to distort what occurred
