Würk Integrates DailyPay’s On‑Demand Pay into Payroll Platform
LOS ANGELES- Würk, a provider of payroll, human resources, and compliance software for highly regulated industries—including cannabis and gaming—has integrated DailyPay’s on‑demand pay service into its existing payroll platform.
The integration enables Würk’s clients to offer their employees earned wage access (EWA), along with other financial wellness features, using the “DailyPay Built In” solution. The tool embeds seamlessly within existing workflows at no additional cost to employers and without altering traditional payroll operations.
Deborah Saneman, CEO of Würk, emphasized that the move brings modern financial benefits—previously underserved in regulated sectors to their workforce.
Carly Brush, senior vice president of HCM at DailyPay, noted that the partnership allows clients to provide employees “greater financial flexibility and control through their existing payroll system without changes to their existing workflows”.
According to PYMNTS, a joint report by PYMNTS Intelligence and The Clearing House shows that 83% of workers desire more frequent pay schedules beyond traditional biweekly cycles, and 96% of companies offering EWA report improved employee satisfaction and talent attraction.
The move comes amid increasing legislative scrutiny of EWA services. In states like Maryland and Indiana, regulations that define and regulate on‑demand pay models have been enacted recently. Meanwhile, in New York, the State Attorney General has challenged providers—including DailyPay—arguing fees may amount to high annualized interest rates. DailyPay responded with legal action against the state to assert that these laws are not applicable to its model.
As on‑demand pay gains momentum across industries, Würk’s expansion of financial tools into regulated markets reflects a growing trend of deploying EWA solutions in sectors with complex compliance requirements.
