BLACKPOOL, ENGLAND- Police confiscated cannabis products that were sent from the United States, from California, and three English citizens were detained as a result.

Three searches were conducted in Blackpool, a well-known tourist destination in Lancashire County, as part of the campaign against “brazen” drug dealers bringing branded cannabis products into the country from California, where cannabis is fully legal.

A Rolex watch, technological equipment, roughly 10 kg of cannabis, and £2,000 in cash were all seized by the police.

All three suspects are 29-year-old Blackpool residents and have been detained on suspicion of bringing in a prohibited substance.

The operations are in response to an increase in the county’s herbal cannabis seizures, according to the police.

A wave of cannabis products have started coming through the post from California, where cannabis is permitted to produce and sell the medicine under strict regulation.

USPS are an unwilling ”mule” in the illicit cannabis trade

“More bold”

According to Detective Chief Inspector, James Edmonds, “The arrests are our response to a surge in these narcotics being introduced into our county, particularly Blackpool and especially from California.”

“Dealers place internet drug orders, and many delivery companies accidentally deliver the parcels.

“The narcotics come from California, but occasionally seizures have been made from Morocco and Spain.”

“Dealers are becoming more bold,” he claimed.

“This is a continuous and expanding problem in the area, so we want to try to halt some of the flow into Blackpool.”
