Obituary: Troy Datcher: CEO The Parent Company
LOS ANGELES- Troy Datcher, board chair of Gold Flora Corp. and a prominent Black leader in the cannabis industry, died Feb. 26 after a brief hospitalization. He was 55. Originally from Alabama, Datcher is mourned by his wife and his daughter, as well as his many family and friends.
Troy Datcher, (main photo) was a visionary leader whose journey broke new ground in the cannabis industry, leaves behind a legacy of innovation, inclusivity, and inspiration. Before ascending to the helm of The Parent Company as its CEO, Troy cultivated a rich and diverse career spanning various sectors, including consumer goods, where he honed his skills and developed a keen understanding of market dynamics and brand growth. His tenure at Clorox, serving in senior leadership roles, is particularly noteworthy, where he demonstrated his strategic acumen and commitment to excellence.
A graduate with a deep educational foundation, Troy’s academic achievements laid the groundwork for his professional endeavors, equipping him with the tools necessary to navigate and excel in the competitive business landscape.
