New York Supreme Court Halts Warrantless Raids on Licensed Hemp Retailers
LOS ANGELES- In a recent decision, New York State Supreme Court Justice Thomas Marcelle issued an injunction against the New York State Cannabis Control Board (CCB), the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM), and the New York City Sheriff’s Office, prohibiting them from conducting warrantless raids on state-licensed hemp businesses. The court found that these actions violated the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unreasonable searches and seizures.
