LOS ANGELES- MariMed Inc. has entered into a licensing agreement with The Stoned Moose, LLC, to distribute its full-spectrum Betty’s Eddies fruit chews in both adult-use and medical cannabis channels across Maine. Previously restricted to recreational consumers since 2022, the brand’s expansion into the medical segment comes as Maine medical sales constituted more than half of the state’s cannabis revenue in 2024, according to MariMed  The deal—terms of which remain undisclosed—leverages The Stoned Moose’s licensing structure to reach medical patients, alongside recreational users and some 15 million annual tourists.

MariMed’s CEO Jon Levine stated that Rochester’s goal is to replicate Betty’s Eddies’ strong performance in Massachusetts, Maryland, and Delaware within Maine’s $455 million market. The expansion supports the company’s “Expand the Brand” strategy, focused on increasing distribution of its award-winning cannabis products, which include Bubby’s Baked, Vibations, InHouse, and Nature’s Heritage.

The move is expected to benefit Maine’s cannabis ecosystem by offering medical patients access to a trusted edible with a proven sales record in other jurisdictions. It also reinforces MariMed’s position as a multi-state operator investing in strategic brand growth. While the medical market’s contribution to Maine’s totals signals underlying demand, the financial details and future rollout timelines for Betty’s Eddies in medical dispensaries remain to be seen.
