Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation Recalls Over 2,600 Products for Inadequate Testing

LOS ANGELES- The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) announced a recall on Tuesday for 2,649 cannabis products sold by NGWMO, LLC to dispensary facilities. The recall was issued because the products did not undergo the required final stage testing.

According to the DCR, the products, which include flower, pre-rolls, and kief sold under the Twenty Twenty brand, were only tested at the unprocessed bud/flower stage. Missouri bylaws mandate that cannabis products be tested at the final product stage before being sold to consumers.

As of the recall announcement, no adverse reactions have been reported. However, the DCR advises patients and consumers who have purchased the recalled products to stop using them immediately. Any unused products should be discarded or returned to the dispensary where they were purchased. Returned products will not count towards a patient’s purchase limit.

This recall is the second in Missouri’s cannabis market since adult-use sales began in early 2023. The first recall, in August 2023, involved allegations of illegally imported hemp-derived THCA and resulted in the revocation of the manufacturer’s license.
