Khalifa Kush Enters NY Legal Market in Skyworld Cannabis Deal
LOS ANGELES – Khalifa Kush announced that Skyworld Cannabis will handle the brand’s cultivation and distribution within the state. Products are scheduled to reach shelves beginning October 31. The initial lineup includes two strains, KK and Violet Sky, offered in flower and pre-roll formats, with additional strains and product types planned later.
The launch will place Khalifa Kush products at seven locations in NYC and 29 more dispensaries across Upstate New York and Long Island, with further distribution expected. Khalifa Kush currently operates in 13 other U.S. markets and several international ones. While the strain name or unofficial variations may have appeared in the legacy or unlicensed market over the years, the Skyworld partnership serves as the first formal, regulated entry of Khalifa Kush into the Empire State.
Wiz Khalifa, the brand’s founder, noted the long-standing interest from New York consumers.
Alex Anderson, CEO of Skyworld Cannabis, described the timing as aligned with demand in the state.
Skyworld is rooted in Indigenous tradition and operates as a licensed New York cultivator. The partnership positions the local company as the exclusive cultivation and distribution partner for Khalifa Kush products sold through licensed dispensaries in the state.
The arrangement pairs an established national brand with a state-licensed cultivator that already holds the operational infrastructure needed for New York compliance. The October 31 start date and the initial slate of dispensaries will provide an early measure of retail reception. How quickly additional formats and wider distribution follow will show the practical reach of the partnership inside one of the country’s more closely watched adult-use markets.
