Verano Adds Crystal River Location, Reaching 82 Dispensaries in Florida
CHICAGO – Verano Holdings Corp. has expanded its presence in Florida by opening a new MÜV dispensary in Crystal River, bringing its total to 82 stores statewide and 152 nationwide.
This move bolsters Verano’s network along Florida’s western edge, close to existing outlets in Ocala, Spring Hill and Lady Lake. The company runs one of the largest cultivation operations in the state, spanning over 240,000 square feet, which supplies its growing chain. Florida remains a core market for Verano, where medical Cannabis sales continue to climb amid steady patient enrollment.
Company executives highlighted the site’s role in serving Citrus County residents, noting demand for accessible medical products. Verano, traded on the Canadian Securities Exchange under VRNO and on the OTCQX as VRNOF, reported $879 million in revenue last year, with Florida accounting for a significant share.
Analysts see this as a calculated step to solidify market share in a state with over 917,000 registered medical Cannabis patients. While adult-use legalization stalled last year, multi-state Cannabis operators like Verano focus on efficiency and scale to prepare for potential shifts. This latest addition underscores a strategy of targeted growth in high-demand areas, supporting long-term stability in a competitive field.
