A LIFE IN A DAY: Patrick Moher: President at Microdose
As a dynamic and socially-conscious entrepreneur, Patrick uses creativity and a passion for human connectivity to unite individuals across social and corporate spectrums. His superpower is making solid introductions that create meaningful outcomes and amplify impact.
He’s currently President at Microdose Psychedelic Insights, developing the industry’s premier events and media platform alongside a highly motivated and engaged startup team. He’s spoken at the Concordia Annual Summit 2022 in New York, the first Medical Psychedelic House of Davos in Switzerland, Burning Man in Nevada, Wonderland Miami, and Plant Medicine Week in Malta.
Having evolved from a successful career in photography and co-founding a few cannabis companies, Patrick’s focus is helping businesses achieve financial success while supporting nonprofits & charities in emerging industries. He currently sits on the board of directors for Heroic Hearts Project Canada, and advisory board for the Plant Medicine Coalition in support of their work.
Here, in A LIFE IN A DAY, a person shares with Justin Frigz of Highly Capitalized, what life’s like for them outside their busy working week.
What’s your morning routine, and what do you think about it in the mornings?
If we’re being honest, I don’t really have one (aside from coffee). My guilty morning pleasure is taking my first call while still curled up in bed, or scrolling social media to kick things off with a notification catchup.
What part of the world do you wake up in the morning, and what is it like where you live?
I am a full on digital nomad, and enjoy living in warm places for the most part. I wrote this answer in Toronto, will head to Miami on Sunday for Wonderland, and off to Colombia for a month after that. I love Canada, but hate the cold … tricky one.
What’s the first thing you do each day, and what do you eat and drink in the morning?
Check WhatsApp and email, drink Coffee, and I love a good morning smoothie.
What publications do you recommend reading on cannabis?
I don’t read all that much as of late, but with my personal bias in tow (I am a partner) I can’t recommend ADCANN highly enough!
How do you work and plan your day, what’s your job?
Calls, calls, and more calls …. mixed in with hundreds of messages across digital communication platforms. It a metric ton of talking, generally. As the President, I lead business development and industry relations at Microdose Psychedelic Insights.
Do you exercise or meditate, and what do you think about when exercising, or meditating?
I used to meditate more often, it something I think about picking up again quite often. For exercise I generally stay active and most enjoy adventure sports (biking, running, swimming etc). Ideally when I exercise it’s in flow state and I think about NOTHING!
What do you wear these days?
Comfortable clothes that are logo-free. I’m not all that picky generally
What’s for lunch and describe the rest of your day like up to dinner time?
Wow you’re really drawing out all of my healthy habits here! Lunch depends on workload for me, sometimes I forget about it until dinner time and then eat everything I can get my hands on. I’m a big breakfast and dinner fan, lunch is transitory in my life.
What are some thoughts you might have about your cannabis job–compared to previous jobs?
My Cannabis job is my previous job! Before that was Professional Photography – which kind of blended into my work in Cannabis anyways. Now I’m entirely focused on building Microdose.
What’s your evening routine like after work? What’s your commute like?
I never commute for work unless it’s to attend a conference, being fully remote and laptop based lately is an absolute blessing. My evening (you guessed it) is not all that routine oriented … if I’m not working late, I’m out to dinner, hanging with friends, or passing out halfway through trying to watch a movie.
When do you consume–during the day or at night?
Lean more so towards at night lately – during the day encourages too much brain fog.
What’s your bedtime routine, and what are your thoughts as you drift off to sleep?
Brush teeth, contacts out, pass out. My last thought as I pass out is generally the thing that I was supposed to do today and forgot about. Once I write that down for tomorrow, the lights are out.
Thank you for participating in A LIFE IN A DAY.
