NCS Analytics Partners with Cannabiz Credit Association on Lending Data

DENVER – NCS Analytics and Cannabiz Credit Association have entered an exclusive agreement that links payment histories to existing operational risk tools. The arrangement targets lenders evaluating licensed Cannabis businesses and aims to give them a clearer view of both performance and repayment behavior. CCA’s data set, covering more than $3.7 billion in verified payment records, will feed into the NCS Platform and NCS Thea – the company’s lending intelligence product.

NCS Thea, introduced earlier in 2026, already combines government-mandated track-and-trace data with proprietary behavioral and predictive analytics. The platform produces composite scores and operational profiles that lenders can use for pre-screening, underwriting support and portfolio monitoring. Adding CCA’s payment history and risk ratings supplies a second layer: how a business operates day to day and how it pays its vendors. Collections claims tracked by CCA at the license level will serve as early indicators inside the NCS system, since unpaid vendor balances often surface before changes appear in revenue or inventory figures.

Adam Crabtree, founder and CEO of NCS Analytics, said the partnership expands visibility into on-the-ground payment behavior and helps surface potential risk through the firm’s existing alerts engine.
Mike Blumenthal, executive director of Cannabiz Credit Association, noted that CCA members already rely on the same data when deciding credit terms and that the exclusive link places it in front of the lenders financing the industry. The data is scheduled to reach NCS customers this fall.

The move builds on earlier steps by NCS to support financial institutions entering the Cannabis lending market. NCS Thea was first offered as part of the broader platform and later made available as a standalone product for banks, credit unions, private lenders and credit funds. CCA, founded in 2023, has positioned itself as the sector’s first dedicated credit reporting bureau, drawing on monthly member reporting and an exclusive collections pipeline.
