PHOENIX–The Arizona Department of Revenue reported more than $1.23 billion in combined cannabis adult use & medical sales through the first 11 months of 2021, indicating that the state’s cannabis industry is continuing to expand.

Adult-use recreational cannabis sales surpassed $60 million for the first time in November, setting a new high. Medical sales have been fluctuating all year, peaking in March and April at at $73 million.

From February to October, medical sales outpaced recreational sales (adult-use sales began on Jan. 22), but in November, the two programs were nearly comparable, with the medical program bringing in a projected $60,365,545 and recreational sales bringing in $60,299,191.
