Bloomios Taps Joe Reid to Lead Manufacturing Operations
Bloomios, a cannabinoid supplements company, has appointed Joe Reid to lead its manufacturing operations. With over a decade of manufacturing experience and extensive knowledge of the CBD industry, Reid is expected to help Bloomios double its current production capacity and expand its product range.
Reid previously co-founded and served as the chief operating officer of Upexi’s manufacturing division, where he increased the company’s revenue growth to over $4 million before it was acquired by Bloomios in 2020. Under his leadership, Upexi became a leading manufacturer for the CBD industry’s largest brands, producing edibles, topicals, and pet care products. He also led the development, opening, and operations of Upexi’s 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Nevada, which increased the company’s production output by 300%.
In his new role, Reid is the relocation and integration of Upexi’s manufacturing operations to Bloomios’ cGMP facility in Daytona. Bloomios expects the state-of-the-art equipment and improved economies of scale to enable the company to significantly increase both volume and range of product formats, addressing demand that it was previously unable to meet due to constrained capacity.
The added operations are expected to more than double Bloomios’ current production capacity across key production lines while reducing redundant costs across both the acquired and existing operations. Bloomios CEO, Michael Hill, expressed confidence in Reid’s leadership and the potential for the company’s expanding manufacturing operations, existing customer base, and expanded professional sales team to drive strong growth and market expansion.
