Seed Junky Genetics Announces MINNTZ Return

LOS ANGELES – JBeezy, the founder of Seed Junky Genetics, confirmed that the MINNTZ® brand is officially returning as an independent line following a new agreement with Michigan-based HNG Solutions, LLC. The partnership will put more than 20 strains into dispensaries in California, Michigan, New Mexico, and Florida.

The move, announced today on 4/20, gives JBeezy direct oversight of the genetics he developed. MINNTZ® first gained notice years ago with releases like The Soap and Jealousy – strains that drew steady followings in California and Michigan for their flavor and consistency.

The fresh lineup features B-52, Grape Slurpz, Giraffe P, Jungle Juice, Cherry Slurpz, Blue Slurpz, Yuzu, Honey Dew, POPZ 41, Larry Legend, Blue Zushi, Lemon Drip and others. All carry the same emphasis on genetic selection and flavor that defined the original drops.

“Bringing MINNTZ® back to customers nationwide requires great cultivators, effective distributors, and dispensaries with a commitment to those they serve,” JBeezy said in the announcement. “We are focused on working with operators who can execute at a high level and deliver consistent product to consumers across every market we enter.”

The brand’s earlier run came through a collaboration that ended in 2023 after a contract dispute. JBeezy retained control of the genetics, clearing the way for this standalone return under HNG Solutions.

The comeback’s timing and structure stand out. It looks like a calculated step that keeps the focus on product over promotion. Breeders have grown more protective of their intellectual property as wholesale markets expand across state lines.
