Aurora Cannabis Expands Distribution in Australia

LOS ANGELES- Aurora Cannabis Inc. has announced a distribution partnership between its wholly owned subsidiary, MedReleaf Australia, and The Entourage Effect, a company that provides distribution and support services to pharmacies in Australia.

Under this agreement, The Entourage Effect will act as a wholesaler for MedReleaf Australia’s product lines, including CraftPlant, Aurora, and IndiMed brands. This collaboration aims to enhance the availability of premium medical cannabis products for patients across Australia.

Andre Jerome, Executive Vice President of Global Business Development at Aurora, stated that the partnership is intended to expand the company’s distribution network in Australia, thereby improving patient access to their medical cannabis portfolio.

Lisa Varley, CEO of The Entourage Effect, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting a shared commitment to advancing the Australian medicinal cannabis market and better serving patient needs nationwide.

MedReleaf Australia, acquired by Aurora in February 2024, adheres to Therapeutic Goods Administration Good Manufacturing Practice (TGA-GMP) standards, ensuring quality and consistency in its products.

This partnership reflects Aurora’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its presence in the global medical cannabis industry and support the growth of the Australian market.
